Pawprints on my Heart

Anatole France once said, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” This collection of true animal stories will serve to prove him right!

Have you ever had a pet that left indelible pawprints—or hoofprints—on your heart? Pets we’ve rescued—that rescued us, as well—and animals that maybe weren’t so much “pets” as “acquaintances” who’ve taught us a thing or two… These sixteen true tales by fifteen authors
is chock full of stories about special pets we’ve had. These tales evoke loving memories of days gone by when these animals played a huge part in our lives—either as pets we had as children, or as adults. You’ll find everything from a miniature donkey to a horse, on to a runaway monkey, then to cats and dogs, and even ducks. What could be more fun (other than having own your memories) than to read such delightful stories that will absolutely reach down deep to touch and warm your heart?

Pawprints On My heart is the third edition of this successful series, Memories From Maple Street, U.S.A. The first was MFMS, U.S.A.: Leaving Childhood Behind, and the second was MFMS, U.S.A.: The Best Christmas Ever. You’ll find just as delightful as the Pawprints. I missed being included in the first one, but by
golly I made sure I got into the other two. I can’t wait to find out if and when there will be a number four to the series. And you can be sure, I’ll write another little memory along with all the other authors. I hope you enjoy these little stories as much as we authors had in writing these cuties. Enjoy!

A Love So Strong

Searching for true happiness, Morgan Prescott answers a brides wanted ad, and leaves the
high society life in New York City for Washington Territory, but loses her heart to the one man she can never have. Private investigator and Union Pacific Railroad major stockholder, Luke Kincaid goes undercover as the logging camp’s foreman to apprehend the railroad’s saboteurs. All he needs is a mock wife to strengthen his act, but once he agrees to Morgan filling the
roll
he finds himself longing for much more---for a love he’s forbidden to accept or give.

This story, set in 1880, has multiple themes of learning acceptance, forgiveness, and against all odds, love conquers all. My heroine struggles to be accepted for herself, but must first learn to see past the surface of others in order to accept them for what they truly are. If you’re familiar with
loons of any kind, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them throughout the book. If you’re unfamiliar with these primitive birds, I hope you’ll not only find them interesting, but extremely fascinating as well.

The other aspect in my novel deals with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This disease is near and dear to my heart as I’ve cared for many who have been struck down by its affliction. Especially one very special lady who fought hard and strong, and was the first person with ALS to give birth via C-section(to my knowledge). I’m in hopes that this novel will bring awareness to those who are unacquainted with this fatal disease.

And last, but not least, I hope you all enjoy a good laugh at all the antics my heroine, Morgan, goes through in learning what many would call the basic skills of everyday living, especially in the wilds of Washington Territory.

Cowboy Kisses - Hopes and Dreams

Five years ago when Claire O'Gill accepted to be
legal guardian for her niece should disaster occur to her brother-in-law and sister, she never expected to fill that title. But now she not only is guardian, but she must flee the clutches of the wealthy, ruthless and cold-hearted grandparents who intend to snatch that title away. With determination to protect little Tori, the two zigzag and backtrack from Philadelphia to the wilds of Wyoming to hide their tracks.

Sheriff Zach Ballard isn't in the market for a wife. Once burned by a money-hungry woman was more than enough. So when he becomes totally enchanted by the adorable Tori, he figures he can easily resist her mama's charms. Yet the more Claire seems to want to avoid him and his suspicions as to why grow stronger, his intrigue
heightens while his heart yearns to trust again.

And all the while, Tori is busy calling Mr. Cupid. She wants a daddy and she knows exactly who can fill that spot for her new mama.

Let me tell you, I had never written a short story before and I wasn't sure if I could write concise enough to tell the story I wanted. But as Tori's personality began to shine enough to illuminate my office and her cute antics charmed me along each step of the way, I found tremendous joy in bringing this story to life.
Actually Tori brought it life. And darn it if she didn't steal the show smack dab away from Claire and Zach. I hope you enjoy this sweet romance as much as I had writing it.

Hopes and Dreams

I'm delighted to tell you HOPES AND DREAMS , my story in COWBOY KISSES was released later on as a single title with its own cover as an Amazon eBook: Available as Kindle unlimited and Kindle Edition. I just love this all the more since little Tori made the cover.

All For Love released Sept. 18,
2014 by my new publisher, Prairie Rose Publications and I'm delighted to be part of their team of devoted and outstanding authors. If you read my first Historical Romance Only When the Loon Sings, you already know I like to write humorous, sensuous love stories, but also enjoy including a lesson learned or raising awareness of a topic of concern or hit on an important issue. That's what I've tried to do with All For Love. It's filled with a wagon load of laughs and a few bales of tears, while your heart will be left touched and full of joy...I hope you come along for the ride. Below is the blurb. . .

Feisty, outspoken schoolmarm Lorelei Webster—better known as Miss Neb-nose by many—is determined to stop the neglect and abuse in
Toleman, Wyoming. And if it means raising havoc such as the town has never known and deterring any man’s attraction to her, so be it. But when faced with the compelling task of righting the wrongs in the handsome, new doctor’s life, she desires much more than merely cleansing his wounded soul.

Reserved and dedicated to medicine, Doctor Seth Taylor has resigned himself to be content with his practice and a peaceful, uncomplicated life. Nothing more. But when the irritating Miss Webster stirs up memories he’s long tried to bury, his complacent world tilts off kilter. Forced to accept her help in saving a youngster’s life, Seth finds he must deal with his dark haunting past before he can ever hope for more…But can he?
